Access to a Cove record is not a login someone either has or doesn't. Every grant answers three questions: who is this, what may they see, and why. You set every answer, and you can take every grant back.

Long before software, the collecting world ran on discretion, and it still does. Cove's appraisers and staff work under confidentiality as a condition of the work, and access within Cove is limited to the people actually serving your engagement.
What your collection contains, what it is worth, and that you are a client at all: none of it is anyone else's business, and none of it is treated as if it were.

The strongest promise a records-keeper can make is about leaving. Your full record, every work, every document, every value, and every story, is exportable at any time, in a commonly used, structured format, organized as it is kept, at no additional charge.

Every document leaves attached to its piece, exactly as it was kept. An export you would have to re-organize is not really yours.
